My guilty pleasure.. I mean, kind of. I am a big, not to say HUGE fan of Halloween. I FRICKIN LOVE IT! Favorite season since day one, I can assure you that. Can you see how excited I get just talking about it?

Well, every year I try to come up with new, even more creative ways to decorate my home! I’m not ashamed to say I’ve had skulls, black ribbons and pumpkins in my bedroom since beginning of September.

Halloween has its origins in the ancient Celtic festival called Samhain, which is a big celebration at the end of the harvest season every year. The Gaels, in whoms culture this tradition comes from, believed that the boundaries between worlds of the living and the dead overlapped on October 31st. And that the deceased would come back to life. Masks and costumes were therefor worn as an attempt to mimic the evil spirits or appease them.

The history of Halloween has evolved a lot since the nineteenth century, when people began to celebrate it. It is nowadays a popular traditional holiday in most parts of the world, wherein the US and Canada are seen as the biggest fans.
